I would like to say a very big thank you to everyone who had invited me to their open houses, especially Rano, Reeda, Ripin and Jim. After a lot of Hari Raya food from the open houses and invitations, the BruneiForever Forum Members (well not all tho) had met up and sat down at our usual hangout place, which is Jin Chew just to meet up and enjoy our breads, kolo mee etc. On spot was AnakBrunei w/ missus, Nikonian, SoulJah, airbiscuit, Zadm, Kantalensa w/ Zul273, artyeo, Ber and my lovely wife.

News update, I will be changing the interface to the current official website of CPSBRUNEI.COM, it is currently in the testing phase in which I are currently checking for any bugs or flaws. I am hoping to make the website up and running by the middle of November (possibly earlier), so do tune in to us.

As my wife is currently waiting for the delivery of our first baby (don’t ask me for the sex and I am hoping for a surprise) so I had blocked any bookings from the middle of November to the middle of December. Hi, it’s been a while since I posted something here… well it’s Hari Raya eve and people are quite busy at home. Well the missus and I just came back from the grandparents house for the Takbir Raya, I did do some photo shooting but the result was not quite as I expected, but I managed to get some people asking me to shoot some “family photo” inclusive of the in-laws hehehehe…

Pi$$ed….

I was driving towards QQ e-store after work with the missus today and as usual, the traffic going out from Kiulap (at the Hot Mart’s side) is packed. This is where the story happens….

I believe in road discipline (well in some cases tho), this happens when I was about to enter the road entrance towards Hot Mart. At first, the car in front of me passed the stopping traffic heading towards the traffic light (well the driver was given space). But when it comes to my turn, the old man driver of the 4×4 suddenly moved his car to the front, therefore blocking my way….

The thing that I was pi$$ed of is that, THE TRAFFIC WAS STILL AT HALT cos the traffic light was RED!!!! But again, I signalled to him that he should had let me passed (I was thinking that if he let me passed, there won’t be too much traffic behind me…. since they are still at halt!!!), but the nice old man (which was stopping in front of my car) responded by signalling me to move (towards his car???)… Is he crazy?? How can I move when he was in the way…

I didn’t mean to be unpolite (well,,,, was thinking to jump out of the car and talk to him tho) I just give him a disappointed gesture. For me, he as an elderly man should be able to think fast (in this case, to prevent too much traffic jams) and in my own opinion, he should have let me passed with some other cars behind me, while waiting for the car in front of him to move… How disappointed I was watching the elderly are the ones starting this bad behaviour..

Hari Raya Fever….

It’s just a few days now before the Hari Raya celebration and the fever can be seen everywhere, from the traffic jams to the shopping complexes…

Well, I’m not concentrating on that anymore, now I want to post the Hari Raya gateway at entrance of the NBT Brunei (they do this kind of stuff at every occasions)….

Dreaming….

 

I guess most of you know (especially Nikonians) regarding the coming release of Nikons top of the line DSLR, a Nikon D300 and Nikon D3. Well personally, I would say that I can’t afford to get my hands on the D3 as a pre-release news shows that the price might be getting more than B$ 12K. So the only alternative is dreaming of getting the D300 as part of my collection (which costs more than B$ 6K for the body only)…

The best part of the D300 is that the clarity and the reduced noise of the images taken at high iso (which goes up to iso 3200) compared to my D80 and D200 which can go up to iso 1600 only. So this is (for me that is…) the got-to-have-one- camera and even if that means I have to let go either 1 of my current camera (hope not the D200 tho). So guys, if you ever think of buying the camera for me, just keep yourself updated on this site for the release date of both cameras.

Yeehhaaaa…..

Well, I don’t really know what to write today…. I just got back from Miri after a half day’s trip with a friend of mine, as just to install the side step for my new Hyundai Santa Fe…. Locally, a side step for the Sante Fe costs around B$ 298.00 (not sure if it includes the installation charges) but I got mine for around B$ 320.oo inclusive of the installation… I considered it as cheap (duhhh….) but thank god my Santa Fe runs on Diesel Engine.

Will post the photo of the new side step (if I’m up to it) as soon as possible. Right now I am  concentrating on the competition being held by Barunaiku which can be found in my older post.
